Rih La Tul Umr is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to helping women over the age of 55, from disadvantaged backgrounds, fulfil their lifelong dream of performing Hajj.
Through community donations, private sponsorships, education, and practical support, we help deserving pilgrims prepare spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially for this sacred journey.

About Rih La Tul Umr
Who We Are
Rih La Tul Umr is a registered non-profit organisation founded in 2019 by a group of women who recognised the financial struggles faced by older women longing to perform Hajj.
Many of the women we assist are over the age of 55 and come from disadvantaged communities. Some are breadwinners, caregivers, and active contributors to their communities, yet they are unable to afford the full cost of this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
Our mission is to remove financial barriers while also helping pilgrims prepare with dignity, knowledge, and confidence.
Beneficiary Criteria
Who We Assist
Rih La Tul Umr primarily assists women over the age of 55 who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have a sincere intention to perform Hajj.
Applicants are carefully reviewed through a formal selection process at the start of each new Hajj year. Priority is given to those facing financial hardship, as well as individuals who contribute positively to their families and communities.
Each application is handled with care, dignity, and fairness.
We prioritise applicants who:

Chairlady & Co-FounderNajawa is the Founder and Chairlady of Rih La Tul Umr. She brings more than 35 years of experience.
Naeema Fakier
Vice ChairladyNaeema brings 24 years of banking experience and a deep passion for people and community upliftment.
Maalikah Parker
TreasurerMaalikah has served as Treasurer since the organisation’s inception in 2019 with strong financial oversight.

How We Support Pilgrims
We provide practical, financial, educational, and community-based support to help deserving women prepare for the sacred journey of Hajj with dignity and confidence.

We help cover full or partial Hajj-related costs for qualifying women who are unable to afford the journey on their own.
Hajj Education & Preparation
We provide learning and development resources to help pilgrims prepare spiritually, mentally, and practically.
Pilgrimage Resources
We assist with necessary items such as pilgrimage attire, educational materials, and other essential resources.
Travel-Related Support
Where possible, we help with additional costs such as vaccinations and other travel requirements.
Community-Based Selection
Beneficiaries are selected through a formal application process, with priority given to women from impoverished communities and those involved in community upliftment.
Support With Dignity
Every programme is shaped around care, respect, and the belief that every qualifying pilgrim should be supported with compassion and honour.
Our approach is holistic: we do not only assist with costs, but also help pilgrims feel prepared, supported, and valued throughout their journey.
